In the very centre of the city you may relax and take a deep breath in the two municipal gardens. “Salingarten” is decorated with sculptures and “Riedergarten” offers rose and herb gardens as well as a fantastic playground for children.
How about a quick stop in Rosenheim’s cultural world? The Municipal Museum (Städtisches Museum) in the last remaining city gate, or the Museum of Wood Technology (Holztechnisches Museum) with the longest stairway to heaven right in the city centre is just as worth a visit as the supra-regionally known Lokschuppen with its thematic exhibitions or the Municipal Gallery (Städtisches Galerie).
Each quarter has its individual charme and charisma.
The city centre has many different faces. Whereas the eastern old city has a small-scale structure and gives you a feeling for the history of the old city of Rosenheim, plain architecture is predominant in Münchener Strasse. The Esbaum quarter stands for individuality, hardly any other quarter has such a pleasant atmosphere of neighbourliness. The Salin Square however, convinces with its colourful facades and its Italian flair.
Somehow each square is unique. The best way to experience the city is a walk along the information signs for individual tours of the city. There is much more to discover than what you may think.
